Online Reading Endorsement

If you would like to pursue the online reading endorsement, you must be accepted as a non-matriculated graduate student. To become a non-matriculated graduate student, you must complete an online application here: http://www.usu.edu/admissions/applyonline/index.cfm. In the application, there is a place to indicate that you would like to pursue an endorsement through the College of Education.

The online reading endorsement classes are for 5000 level credit, and only 8 credits can be used towards a master's degree. Therefore, only 2 online reading endorsement courses could be used in a master's degree program of study. If you would like to apply for the master's degree program, you must apply to the School of Graduate Studies: http://www.usu.edu/graduateschool/

The Teaching Reading Praxis test (test # 0204) is now required for the reading endorsement. See the USOE website for more detail: http://www.schools.utah.gov/cert/Endorsements-ECE-License/Reading-Level-I-Basic.aspx

These reading endorsement courses are fully online courses, with all work done asynchronously via the Canvas learning management system. Courses cost $825 each. To see available courses, use the Course Finder
